Jeff Zaruba

Jeff Zaruba initially studied architecture, only to switch to photography after a move to the Southwest in 1972. He earned a Fine Arts & Photography degree from Arizona State University in 1975, and has gone on to work as a freelance photographer for over 30 years. Drawn to the beauty of light, and the graphic boundaries of space and form, he explores patterns and abstractions created by man and found in nature. Fittingly, travel has been and continues to be a major influence in his life and art, lending his work a mysterious sense of journey and curiosity.

Zarubas’ works have won him some top awards like the Spider Awards (an International Competition) and first place as the Photographer of the Year for 2005. He was also a featured artist in Black & White Magazine – February, 2001 as well as Silvershotz – December, 2006.
