The art world can be daunting. But art is a business like any other and must be approached as such in order to have a successful career. In addition to record-keeping, financial and administrational skills, it is important to know how to put together an artist’s statement, craft a resume, approach decision-makers, as well as think and speak about one’s work. Artists must know how to form the vital relationships to collectors, gallerists, and curators. These are skills that the students will learn in this one-day workshop, all the while creating a professional mission for themselves and their career.
