Introduction to Digital Negatives and Cyanotype Printing Process
Instructor: Rachel Woodburn

In this beginning workshop, we will explore ways of combining Cyanotype historical process printing with technology to create digital negatives.

During this hands-on workshop, participants will enlarge negatives from digital files and traditional film. Demonstrations and instruction will be given on how to make simple digital negatives. We will create a few basic types of negatives and then experiment in contact printing them using a variety of papers and chemistry. Participants will work with their images taking them from digital files or scans to final Cyanotype prints. Explore creative possibilities and discover new ways to combine new technology with historical processes.
