“Three Pulses”, a group show featuring Patricia Beatty, Christopher Colville
and Rafael Navarro.
“Three Pulses” is a group show featuring
Patricia Beatty’s
newest work, Meditation Series, which employs a proprietary process involving multiple layers of texture and
color. Each image consists of an acrylic polymer foundation manipulated using a variety of textural techniques,
followed by the application of six or more glazes of color to complete the paintings.
Christopher Colville
is an artist and educator working in photographic studies. Colville received a grant from the American Scandinavian Foundation and
the Thor Thors Memorial Fund to conduct research and create artwork in Iceland during the summer of 2006. His work suggests a
fine balance between science and fantasy, truth and myth. His works employs old and new photographic process including ambrotypes,
photogenic drawings and digital inkjet prints.
Rafael Navarro
is an artist working in mixed media assemblages and acrylic paintings. His ideas dictate the medium, thereby fostering a strong
relationship between the images and materials. He draws inspiration from his heritage, personal observations and childhood memories.
February 2 – 24 2007
Roger Palmenberg,
exhibited his collection of platinum-palladium and copper plate photogravures.
Roger teaches portrait and fashion photography at Scottsdale Community College as well
as small group workshops.
His images
have been featured in numerous group and
several individual exhibitions and are in numerous private collections. He is a
member of Imageworks, an Arizona-based organization of large format photographers.
Roger Palmenberg taught a wonderful two-day platinum-palladium workshop at Tilt Gallery on Saturday,
February 17th and Sunday, February 18th. The cost of the workshop was 145.00 and this included all material.
The class is limited to 10 students.

Angela Franks Wells,
“Parts & Labor” a collection of copper plate photogravures.
An intimate view of independently owned local shops of skilled mechanics, plumbers, welders, ect. The
images reflect the austerity of the environment, the value of
mastered craftsmanship,
and relationship between the shop and people working within. Combining these images with the 19th century copper plate
photogravure creates beauty in an unlikely space.

'The Gift of Life
"Exponential Love: the Gift of Life", 2nd Annual Organ Donor Awareness Exhibition
& Silent Auction
Tilt Gallery in collaboration with
Donor Network of Arizona
will be hosting the 2nd annual exhibition
dedicated to Organ/Tissue Donor Awareness and Education. Proceeds from the auction will go to
organ/tissue donor education and awareness projects.
The exhibition will consist of fine art
photography
and mixed media essence pieces that have been created
by local fine artists inspired by participants whose lives could be or have been touched by organ/tissue
donation. The stories and experiences of organ donors, donor families, transplant recipients, and
individuals whose lives have been touched by organ/tissue donation will be displayed during the exhibition
alongside the artwork.

June 1 – July 20, 2007
Photography Re-Imagined a Juried Alternative & Historical Process Show.
This exhibit will feature alternative and historical processes. A International call for entries selected by

France Scully Osterman
is guest scholar at George Eastman House and has given lectures, demonstrations
and workshops throughout the United States, Japan and Europe.
Her writings have been included in a large number of publications, and her work has been highlighted in
a number of solo exhibits. She has received glowing reviews of her "Sleep" exhibit in Art in America,
Paris Photo Magazine and the Village Voice.
Her work was featured in Photovision Magazine, Photography's Antiquarian Avant-Guarde, The New Wave in Old
Process Photography by Lyle Rexer, Coming into Focus by John Barnier, and The Book of Alternative
Photographic Processes by Christopher James and in the March 2007 issue of View Camera magazine.

rare and extensive collection of vintage images. This show will feature a diverse spectrum
of historical photographs such as tintypes, stereographs, daguerreotypes and early postcards.

found in nature. “Most of his photos have a strong graphic element. He looks
for the interplay of

reflections and light on materials

Mixed Media Month featuring Cyanotype prints by Brenton Hamilton and Gauche
paintings and concrete sculptures By Linda Parker.
Brenton Hamilton is from Rockport, Maine. He is an educator, photographer,
sculptor and director of the Professional Certificate program in photography at
Rockport College. Brenton specializes in the cyanotype process. His cyanotypes
are an assemblage of imagery allegories and fables encompassing figures from the
Renaissance, architecture, alchemy and the human anatomy.
Linda Parker joins us from Phoenix Arizona. Linda is an educator and mixed
multidisciplinary artist with strong roots in non- traditional and traditional
practices. Her gauche paintings and concrete sculptures make references to the
mythical and the shadowy sides of nature and the landscape. Her latest series is
of vignettes filled with visual narratives and layered symbolism that links the
ethereal world of dreams and the cycles of life and death.
