Carol Panaro-Smith & James Hajicek,
“Three”
Carol Panaro-Smith & James Hajicek exhibit their
collection
of photogenic drawings. Elegant, luminescent and magical describe the unique one of kind
prints by two renowned valley artist and educators.
Carol & James have spent over 50 years collectively being dedicated to and fostering in
others an appreciation of the antiquarian photographic printing processes of the 19th
century. This is evidenced in their own creative work as well as in their careers as
educators.

Ephemeral Landscapes
Meredith Mckinney will be exhibiting his collection of photographic images created
from a zone plate pinhole camera. Using a 4x5 negative he digitally prints onto
watercolor paper which reveals a
serendipitous affect.

Bret Harte
Sweep / Pull
New work of Bret Harte will continue in it’s exploration of identity narrative,
this time taking form in unmanipulated silver gelatin prints and large scale carbon
prints. Consistent with previous work, Bret Harte takes the viewer to
a place of self-reflection.

Antiquated Processes: New Views from New Mexico
A group show featuring a collection of photographs individually created by five advanced students from the Non Silver
Photography class at New Mexico State University. These
images demonstrate
how the students are firmly grounded in
the culture of southwestern New Mexico. Selected works include handcrafted Vandykes, Cyanotypes and Cyanotypes with
collage.

Maurice Sherif,
“Lumière Mètallique”
Free-lance Photographer Maurice Sherif of Paris, France will be exhibiting his
collection of silver-gelatin, nighttime architectural landscape photographs. This body
of work is published in a signed limited edition of 1000 with 58 pages containing
twenty-seven photographs printed in rich tritone. Books will be available for purchase at
Tilt Gallery during the exhibition.

landscapes from around the world. Using strong light to create an atmosphere of
solitude and introspection into which, the viewer can enter without interruption.

Robby Roberson,
“The World Within: Visualizing the Biology of the Cell”
Robby Roberson is a Professor of cell biology and
bioimaging
at Arizona State University. He has had opportunities to see inside the fabrics and
units of cells in ways most have not.
Using light and
electron microscopes
to visualize the internal motion and three-dimensional order
of cells, he draws analogies to larger and equally complex aspects of
the world.
